This study is entitled "The Connotative Meaning of Expression Found in Adele's Song Lyrics 21 "Japanese Edition" Album". It focuses on describing the types connotative meaning and expression found song lyrics. mainly uses theory proposed by Leech Cruse. Methods applied this were qualitative methods descriptive analysis. The data here was taken from internet through Genius website. collected downloading lyrics then printing them out. Then, closed reading implied to identify containing connotation. Furthermore, analyzed based a semantic (1981) Cruse (1997). Four songs selecting which contains meaning. result shows that three meaning, such as Positive, Negative, Neutral. However, negative connotations are mostly used expression. use express her feelings towards someone past relationship.
